Energy and Sustainability Initiatives

ENERGY & SUSTAINABILITY INITIATIVES

  • Multiple photovoltaic (PV) systems have been successfully installed throughout the buildings to harness renewable energy.  These systems combined produce over two megawatts of power.
  • A total of 120,000 square feet of PV canopy and rooftop systems have been installed to provide both shade for the building and parking stalls, leading to substantial reductions in cooling costs.
  • The installation of six electric vehicle charging stations allows for simultaneous charging of up to twelve vehicles, promoting sustainable transportation.
  • Enhanced safety and solar window films have been applied throughout the building, ensuring energy efficiency.
  • Variable Frequency Drives (VFD’s) have been integrated into the cooling tower fans and pumps, along with large heat pumps, for improved energy management.
  • Throughout the building, high-efficiency cooling systems have replaced the less efficient ones, increasing energy efficiency.
  • Demand Controlled Ventilation (DCV) systems have been installed in common areas, optimizing air quality while conserving energy.
  • Direct Digital Control (DDC) systems have been deployed in various locations for precise control of the cooling systems, ensuring maximum efficiency.
  • The building has been retrofitted with high-efficiency LED lighting fixtures, leading to substantial energy savings.
  • Motion sensors for lighting have been integrated into common areas, minimizing energy waste.
  • The rooftop parking reduces heat load on the building, contributing to cooling load reduction.
  • Low-flow toilets have been installed and retrofitted throughout the building to conserve water.
  • An automatic make-up water system for the cooling towers has been implemented, reducing water consumption..
  • An active recycling program has been put in place to promote sustainability within the building.
